All I can say it that everyone that goes to an Avett Brothers show is there for the same reason. I do understand the whole seated venue, and what not. However, in my opinion, I couldn't imagine sitting down and listening to the avett brothers. or langhorne slim at that. They are the kind of band that make you want to get up and have fun. Everyone handles situations differently. If I couldn't see I would simply stand up as well.
I am 5 feet tall and usually have my vison blocked no matter what, but I really just LOVE being there. Listening to these boys play their heart and souls out to make everyone else happy is my definition of a good experience.

I will say, I did stand up. I realize now it may have been rude when other people were sitting down, but it didn't feel right, and to be pefectly honest when I'm at a show I never even realize what I'm doing because I'm so absorbed into whats going on. I've met some really neat people at avett shows, but I've also met some angry ones out the wahzoo.

Asheville show? anyone hear about that roar? whats happening here?
Everyone did end up standing up when the avett brothers finally came out. With all due respect, what do you expect at a footstompin' fun happy go lucky band concert?
I can't even imagine being in an angry mood at a show that I'm truely a fan of, no matter what the situation.

I'm still trying to imagine sitting in a seat while they are playing "talk on indolence"

Maybe I shouldn't have even said anything.
I was just happy to be there! As was everyone else, I'm sure
