Dad
My dad came with us to a couple Avett Brothers shows, this photo was taken at a show in Detroit in 2007 when he was 67 years old.
Dad passed away last year, but this photo always makes me smile because he had such an incredible night out with his kids, seeing such an incredible live band. 
I'm so glad I have a keepsake of that memory.
His favorite Avett song was the Salvation song, we played it for him and sang along at his funeral.
I love and miss you Dad.

I want to write so much, don"t know where to begin. The lump in my throat is huge. I so understand, I lost my mom last year. It is so painful. I'm glad he was open minded and joined you at shows. Music was a big part of my relationship with my mom too. I'm really sorry about your loss. Your dad was lucky to have wonderful children like you. Take care dear.
