Meeting Scott and Seth Avett, for the first time, has rated among the most incredible nights of my life! The memory will last a lifetime in my heart. My being so physically close to them was truly an honor and privilege. Having a conversation with them left me practically speechless. I was so blown away by their kindness and candor towards their fans. I actually was thinking, "Do they really want to know how much I adore them? Is it not written all over my face?” I have a lot of respect for the band for the way they immerse among their fans after the show. They must surely be tired and anxious to get home to their loved ones. The Avetts go the extra mile. It is worth volumes, to many, in respect for their music.
Darling AVETT BROTHERS—Vanessa, my daughter, and I never get tired of listening to your sensational music; on so many levels. Thank you so much for bonding our lives together with love, joy, and wisdom. Sometimes, your music is the only thing we agree on. Often, I have quoted lyrics from your music to emphasize a vital point—that is always well taken -- never an argument there.
I hope Vanessa will continue to surround herself with people I consider genuine. Your sincerity is showcased well within your message, and, displayed in all that you do. We not only feel moved by your presentation, but also feel hopeful that the love you share for each other spreads across the nations!
