it's ridiculous for "fans" that say they love the Avett Brothers soooo much to say that they don't like this album, or that they're "disappointed." Yes, this album may be a little different.. but everything changes. Just because this isn't the exact same album over again doesn't mean that it's not good. If they had made exactly what you expected, then it wouldn't be as good. They're making their music the way that they want to, and they should be respected for that.

I personally love the album (and all of the previous albums).

Give it a chance and don't just judge it based on the fact that it's their major label debut. They're not even close to mainstream, and i don't think they ever will be.

P.S. Anyone who says that they feel like they're listening to the radio when they listen to this album.. get real.. apparently you never listen to the radio.
