But they keep singing and singing... and singing and a singing ...and singing and a singing to me... Laa- Laa - La-La-La-Laa ...

And Sing they did! OHHH What a Night! There IS no better way to spend an evening than at an Avett Brothers show. How I wish it was a more frequent event! There was magic in the air as the ENTIRE AUDIENCE (and a pretty large one at that) sang their hearts out with the boys they adore. The gratitude for the Avett Brothers and what they bring to our lives was undeniable as the fans embraced TAB's graduation back in their hometown.

I drove from Atlanta in hopes of capturing one last show of innocence before they catapult their way into fame. I didn't quite make it in time. This was far from intimate, but I quickly worked my way to the floor and close to the front. Once they came on, I was immediately engulfed in the harmonies of the bango, guitar, bass, and those glorious imperfect voices that fill my heart with a smile after just one note. And of course... ALL THE FABULOUS SHOUTING & SCREAMING & STOMPING - my favorite part! Soon - it was just the five of us, and oh right ... HOW many others? But Wait ... They ALL know the words too... ALL the words. So it's not just me, and it won't be just us! The point being - The Avett Brothers will always touch you, no matter how big they get. It's who they are. They will always hold us hostage through the honesty of their lyrics and music, and the kindness in them that shines through. It is in their blood. These are the kind of guys you want your son to be.

Here's to the journey so far and the journey to come. You can't go wrong with The Avett Brothers, and I look forward to supporting their success as we march through time! I am so thankful to have discovered them so many years ago, as they have graced my ears every day since the first time I saw them. They are my go-to.

I can't wait until the next show!
