I went to see them in Baltimore around the same time last year when they opened for the Drive-By Truckers and even if your not from the area, the city alone is worth the trip. The beautiful harbor made up for the somewhat sort playlist, but they aint opening for nobody this time!!
During the summer of 2008 a few of my close friends took a trip the the Great Blue Heron Festival. However, I was not able to tag along because of rigorous summer work schedule. The very night the returned one of them, my dear friend Tim, came to me with many fabulous stories of the weekend...the main one of the band the Avett Brothers. He swore by the live performance they had put on, and being the music fans that we are, we raced to the nearest computer to listen and watch some of their performances. It was love at first sight, so I traveled along with my best friends Tim, Evan, and Zoe to Baltimore a few months later to see them at the Pier 6 Pavillion. They didnt play as long as I had imagined they would seen as how they opened for the Drive-By Truckers, but I was still smitten with the show. They have opened me up to a whole new universe of music, and I can honestly say that I am a fan for life. Till Death do we part. Thank you so much guys for being so pure, honest, energetic, and amazing.
yeah it was a very good show...however buffalo, in my opinion, was a stronger performance. and im sorry if i was one of the "bozos", but what can i say, i was having an amazing time!
My dreams fly me...
