Bands talk about writing from their heart and letting it all out, but no band can honor that statement more than The Avett Brothers.
From the first time seeing them in 2006 inside a small golf clubhouse in Edinboro, Pa., I was hooked. There was hardly room to move and they didn't appear to care that they were playing in a very small room. It was packed and they played their hearts out.
Their music is so catchy and conversational, I tried to sing along even though I had never heard a song before and didn't know the words. You want to be that involved in their songs.
Plus, the other fans are pretty cool, too. Never met an Avett Brothers snob.
