I'm a fan (and you should be too) because the first time I ever heard the Avett Brothers was several years ago when I was volunteering at one of my favorite places on earth, Camp McDowell. I heard "Distraction #74" as we drove into camp with the windows down in the perfect weather of an Alabama summer. So I'm a fan of the Avett Brothers because they remind me of that summer and that place. Also, because the spirit of their music is the most refreshing and honest I've heard in a very long time.
