The Avett Brothers grabbed ahold of me during a dark time in my life. It brought me from isolation into jubilee, dancing, singing and smiling with the people that mean most in the world to me, my family.

During a hot and sweaty Tennessee June afternoon, I watched the Brothers for the first time at Bonnaroo. Dressed completely in black in sweat soaked garb and breaking string after string I knew from that point on, life is good.
