I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...this music is real. It's emotional and raw and visceral. It wraps around my brain and my emotional center. It's lyrics I wish I could write and words I wish I could say. It's melodies I wish I could sing. It grabs you up by the back of the neck and carries you at its breast. It's earthy and melancholy, but ti doesn't wallow or feel sorry for its self. It kisses you lightly on the forehead and holds you while you sleep. This is what music is supposed to be, what it yearns to be, and what it never quite is.
