I first saw the Avett Brothers in 2008 at the Jackson Hole Music Festival with Wilco, Ben Harper, Black Crowes and many other talented musicians. I had not heard or listened to them before, but instantly I was in love! I have not stopped listening to anything I can dig up. Their lyrics open up a flood of emotion and sometimes I feel so close to the music, all I can do is sing along with tears and goosebumps abound. They express so much passion and pain, with rich harmonies and raw shouting. I feel a connection to the simple truths and tragedies so present in their songs.
