I love the Avett Brothers because of their passion and connection with their music, which most artists and bands today have lost, and only care about their fame and glory. The Avett Brothers are honest in their lyrics, and also uplift situations in songs like "When I Drink" and "Salvation Song". They always bring a grin to my face, a strength to my life, and a connection to my heart. It all makes sense to me. Their music had to grow on me because I essentially merged into folk rock through them..coming from a 'heavy' backround in music. They certainly prove that you can be heavy and passionate with their genre, and it seems to me they just keep getting sweeter with their melodies. I've seen them live once now, again in a couple more months. There's not much that compares to them because they've really got it all.
