How often do we have artists that move us? Every blue moon! For me at least, Im not amused with any of the sensless music out in our industry today...it reflects that lack of humanity in the world today. The Avett Bros are the total opposite...they give "It's not about the destination..it's about the ride!!!" a whole new meaning...Unfortunately...we don't all get the handsome prince/beautiful princess at the end of our lifes...or do we score a perfect career..or become a highly recognized rock star. Some of us do not become parents and have a family. Regardles, The Avett music livens that ride...it may not be perfect and we might not end where we want to end...but what about the living?? We only get one chance and if we do not use it to the fullest we really won't be called "successful". Aiming high and ambition are great....but without the simple things in life...getting there would be unbearable. Staring at a full moon on a crisp cool quiet night....close your eyes and picture it...
