I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...
I'm a born and raised North Carolinian and to have such a successful group come from where you grew up is truly inspirational. I've been listening to folk music all of my life and stumbled across The Avett Brothers around my 8th grade year (about 6 years ago). It has been a personal dream of mine to learn how to play the banjo and hearing how the Avetts tear up the banjo in their music attracted me instantly. I am currently trying to master the guitar, then I move on to the big time...the banjo! The lyrics from all of the original songs that the Avetts have written have gotten me through tough times. I continue to be impressed by all of their songs and I hope I get a chance to meet them one day
