1. I have to take a flight to Boston at 6 am, and yet I am still awake playing the exclusive first listen of I and Love and You on NPR. I might very well be fired for missing my plane and subsequent meeting thanks to The Avett Brothers.
2. After the last show in Manhattan, I stood in Penn Station basking in the afterglow. While trying to commit the entire night to memory, I missed my train (I’m starting to see a pattern here in the effect of The Avett Brothers on my ability to maintain a schedule when it comes to mass transit...).
3. I am unbelievably excited for September 29th. In fact, the last time I can recall this level of excitement involved New Kids on the Block action figures at Christmas when I was 6 (my taste in music has obviously improved since then).
4. The one time I have been thankful for my abnormally small bladder: walking past the side stage at the Newport Folk Fest en route to the porta-potties, I was sidetracked by the sound of a banjo. I've never looked back.
5. I've finally found a band that combines so many different styles that my ever-evolving taste in music is eternally satisfied.
