I wish I could elegantly write a long essay with a perfect structure to describe just why it is that I am an Avett fan, but the problem is there are few words to describe how their music and shows make me feel. I began listening to them when one of my good friends put in their Live Vol. 2 album on while we were on a road trip. I instantly fell in love and have tried to learn as much about them as I could. They quickly became that band that you say is your favorite just because you are currently listening to them a lot and are at the top of your rotation of music. However, that evolved into something new. I can listen the The Avett Brothers at anytime, no matter the situation because their music speaks to me and I assume most people on many different levels. If I am sad, they can cheer me up; if I'm happy they make me happier; when I'm angry or upset they can calm me down. And so on and so forth. In essence, the Avett's music speaks to me and helps me day to day, and that is why I am a fan.
