My sister and I were lucky enough to chat with Scott for about 25 minutes before the London show back in June. He said they were going to be focusing a lot more on the UK and Europe in 2011.
As they should.
And places unknown and unexplored.
They are worthy. And they can handle it. It is part of moving forward.
@coffee... do you live in Georgia? Is that why (according to timdog) it's the last place I'd want my wedding?
I could use another 4 day run in Colorado, but based on the recent setlist from the Crystal Ballroom, I think I'd better get tickets to that show on the next tour, too...

Mia- you can have your wedding in my backyard & they can come to Wilmington!
Anywhere within 3 hours of Chicago, and I'm there. Milwaukee-Chicago-Indianpolis-Urbana would be a nice setup -- just like this past tour.

If they do just a lone London date, no doubt I'll travel down from Leeds, but a full UK tour would completely make my year.

Irish gigs are a really good idea, EMEM.
I think the Avett sound could Wow discriminating Irish folk. (And I, by the way, am not Irish and actually from the midwest., USA, so no self interest involved here.)
The next time they are in Europe, I suggest they consider both Dublin and Belfast. Loud and enthusiastic crowds are their forte. The Irish? Born to love TAB.
Dublin was their first stop on this year's European tour--it sold out (I think) and I heard it was a great gig--I would imagine they'll make it back. Katmineli and Bgav made it over--they can tell you more about it.
