That was a fun thing to read while sitting in my Lexington hotel! Congrats to you guys all! Can't wait for tonight!

Watching right now...

The boys are much more patient than I am.

its not working for me!
help!

Yeah. These freaks have sucked up all the bandwidth.

I accidentally closed RealPlayer and now it won't connect again. Oh well, it'll be in the archives.

I bet Dave's recording it anyway on his super-high-tech system.

:ninja:

Caught the last portion of the show. Smiling I can't wait until Greensboro and Wilmington...and it was great to see the everybodyfields as well. I love those guys!

I was there and it was awesome. Loving the new song...can't remember the title, but its not called Frozen in my Tracks its called something else.:ninja:

When it was introduced, it was titled "Late in Life."

Nice. Finally - good to have an official title. Scott's also called the other one just "Murdered in the City", so that's pretty much set too.

:ninja:

I missed it! Anyone know where I can get a copy of it? Looks like the woodsongs website wont have it up for a while.

O.K. We weren't going to go. We really weren't going to go. But we went. 331 miles for six songs. That's 55.2 miles per song. Divided by the 4 people in our car = 13.8 miles per song. Subtracting for the young lady we brought to her first show, multiplied by seeing old friends (Lamar and Tonya), squared by a new friend (Toby), taken to the power of everybodyfields and added to a very laid back meet and greet equals a great evening.

Yeah I sat there from 6:55 to 7:35 trying to figure out why media player wouldn't connect... Was my firewall blocking it? Were my media player settings correct? Did I need to install windows updates? I tried everything I could think of but I guess I'll have to wait for the archive... oh well. I'll have to wait a couple weeks to see the Everybodyfields and 3 weeks for the bros, so it could be a lot worse.

The video is up on the archive page already...

Nice, brisimmons! I probably wouldn't have checked it for a week or two, haha. Thanks

wow..that was a great performance, not only by the Avetts, but The Everybody Fields as well...I guess that will hold me over until Greensboro...at least if I watch it everyday....

Ah yes, the BobZimmerman formula for a great evening. The only mathematical equation that isn't detrimental if you misplace a decimal.

If only I could watch every performance live on the internet. The ones that I can't attend in person, that is.
Thanks Woodsongs!

A great show and meeting great new people made my solo trip from Clarksburg in north central West Virginia to Lexington well worth it.
Thanks to everyone I met... "first show" Toby, the couple of girls to whom I was their very own personal photographer, the couple who directed me to a drinking fountain, and Jill's parents among others...
Take care all.

That was a great show. So many highlights: Getting to hear Late in Life again (I've only heard it once before now), hearing How I Got To Memphis, Sam from the everybodyfields telling the story of how the band name came about and especially Michael Johnathan (was that his name?) arranging the two bands for the tv promos. Pure entertainment!...But seriously, it was two great performances by two outstanding bands. Glad we all got to see it!

= omigoodnight so WORTH IT!!!!!!!!

Wow, wow and WOW.....Yes, yes.... it was my first show....What a GREAT overall experience....Met some wonderful folks.

Thanks to Mark (bobzimmerman)for the ticket and unbelievable kindness throughout (taking time to introduce me to everyone from Scott to Dane!)and another thanks for bringing your beautiful daughters along.....just adds to my theory that all the good ones are taken! Eye-wink

And of course Lamar and Tonya, and Bill whom I'd "met" previously through MySpace....

I think you can tell a lot about a band from their die-hard fans....

the Everybodyfields were great.... I literally got goosebumps when Jill comes in on "Aeroplane"....And she was so sweet, charming and humble in person afterward....

Scott, Seth, Bob and the amazing cellist (sorry, I can't remember his name)were all so amazingly nice and genuine....an obvious sign that these songs they bless us with are true reflections of who they really are....

God bless the Avett Brothers!

She just plain gives me goosebumps!
