It is finally here...I and Love and You is now available in stores, online*, and at all Starbucks locations.
As much as this day is a celebration for us, it is also a day of thanks. We are continually humbled by your well wishes and support. You all are the reason we have come this far, and we are grateful to have traveled this journey with you.
So thank you to all our wonderful fans, supporters, and a special thanks to Starbucks for helping us release our record today!

I'm still waiting for my vinyl edition and my download code. If I had known it would be this late, I would have just downloaded it from iTUNES and not bothered to pre-order. Now, I can't even listen to it on NPR. Not mad, just disappointed, I know these things happen. Just wish I could get my download code before I get the record in the mail.

Haven't received my album as of yet. Kind of dissapointed, but I've heard the entire album on the npr link, I am so geeked about this collection of songs! Only these boys could put together a collection of songs of this quality.

Cool Box Set
Ordered the deluxe box set what feels like a year ago!! Had it shipped to my work so I could surprise my wife when I brought it home to her! what a great box set, definitely worth the purchase! Wow, what a new chapter for the Avett Brothers...Can't wait to see yall live again...thanks for all the great tunes!!

I have been waiting for months now and got y copy in the mail last night. I cannot stop listening to this new album! Deep, yet invitingly simple at times. Fantastic job.

Left work at lunch to track down the album. Was harder to find than I expected, and I'm in Charlotte. No luck at Best Buy or Target. Landed a copy at Borders though. From now on, I'll go the preorder route.
Really enjoying the depth of lyrics on this album.
Out of Nowhere...
Listening to Sirius Satellite Radio today, The Loft, The Avett Brothers came on...I listened to the song Head Full of Doubt...and wrote the name down thinking "I need to hear more of this group." I went to Starbucks for coffee and there was the CD...I bought it on the spot. Before 7:30 a.m. today, I had never heard of these guys...what a strange day....

I absolutely love it!! Its so different from their other stuff, but that's what makes it so great! I just love that the avett brothers have such variety in their music!
Rain on the parade....
Sorry. Not feeling it. I am relativly new to TAB. Maybe 2 years? Heard a couple of cuts off of Emotionalism and was immediatly drawn in. I then proceded to seek out everything they did. Saw them a couple of times live. I couldn't tell enough people about them. Underground. Outside the box. Raw. Truly talented.
I got signed up for the web site and was happy to hear about the new album. Heard the first couple of teaser cuts and was aprehensive from the first listen. Today I picked up the album and gave it a listen. The first thing that struck me was the crappy voice quality. Sounds like the sponge thing they stick over the mics for recording was a bit on the thick side. It neuters the bands best instruments....their voices.
I was disappointed to hear such a 'polished' vibe throughout the album. Takes the soul right out of their signature sound. I wondered if I was listening to a sound track for a cheesy Disney Channel soundtrack.
I am glad they put Laundry Room on the album. It makes for a perfect contrast of before and after a major record label gets a hold of a hot band.
Cant say I am surpised. Thats the naure of POP now a days. Find out whats at the cutting edge of BIG, blow it up, make money and watch as it smolders into ashes.
The website update hype, the Starbucks marketing, the mainstream targeting.....
I hope I am wrong, but I dont think there is a hole TAB fits into....but thats not keeping them from trying.
When the dust settles and you guys fall back to earth and get back to singing and playing from your souls instead of someone elses marketing experiment, I hope all of the old fans are still aroud. In the mean time, I will pop in something from the earlier days in the CD player.

I have listened to this album all day long, at work, during my jog, this record is just awesome. The lyrics are well written as always and get better every time I listen. Tin Man is a great song. Thank you all so much.

I've been waiting for today since I got that awful email back in June or July saying the album was delayed and the mail man doesn't come through!!! I bet he kept the box set for himself. Thanks to the skyroo folks for getting me an mp3 code though, it made the day more barable. GREAT ALBUM!!! Can't wait to see some of these songs live, please come back to Arizona ASAP!

Already a hit
I've been listening to the album non-stop all day. It's absolutely fantastic. So proud of you guys!
But I am definitely not the only one that loves it... My local public radio station (91.9 WFPK) has I and Love and You as its featured album of the week, and more than one DJ has exclaimed that it's the best album all year. The feedback has already been amazing and it's just been one day!
You guys have truly gone above and beyond!
A story to tell.
Thank you, a million times over. I would not have the Avett's if it were not for a used to be lover. I can say the only good thing I came back with was The Avett Brothers- My life has been grander for it. I am so grateful for this sound and the stories. I have been privledged to see this band play gloriously 5 times in the last 3 years. Thank you for Seattle this summer.

I honestly was expecting to be disappointed in the "new" sound. Missing the banjo. But I am 100% in love with this CD. Great job! The Avett magic could master any genre of music. Live or studio- the best!!!

NEW VIDEO
I WAS ON WATCH LAST NIGHT AT 12 AM DOWN HERE ARE COAST GUARD STATION NEW ORLEANS AND BOUGHT THE CD ON ITUNES ON MY PHONE AS SOON AS 12:00 HIT. ITS BADASS. TO MAKE MY WATCH EVEN BETTER I WAS WATCHING TV AND FLIPPED TO VH1 AND GOT TO SEE THE AVETT BRO'S NEW VIDEO ON NATIONAL TELEVISION. IT IS SO REWARDING TO HAVE WATCHED THE AVETT BROS GO FROM PLAYING IN SMALL VENUES LIKE LINCOLN THEATRE TO TOURING WITH DMB AND THEN FINALLY ON NATIONAL TELEVISION. ITS TOO DAMN COOL.
Bummed and Waiting
I way excited about getting to hear the new album, and hopefully that will be today. Skyroo sent me an email last night saying the had a delay in shipping and my order didn't get sent out until yesterday. So I won't be listening to the LP today.
And they haven't sent out the link to me to download the mp3 version. I emailed them once and they said I should receive it by noon, if not email them again. I just emailed them a little bit ago and haven't heard anything back from them yet.
Am I the only one having trouble with Skyroo or have they dropped the ball on this one. I don't think I'll be preordering anything through them again though
Either way, I'm ready to listen to the new tunes ASAP.

I woke up late today.
I remembered the new Avett Brothers cd comes out today.
I get on my computer and excitedly downloaded my copy and have it playing in my head on my iPod now.
I get up to go check the mail at the EXACT same time the Mail Lady DELIVERS MY DELUXE BOX SET!!!
It's like Christmas and Thanksgiving and every other holiday that is worth it all happening at once in my apartment!

Vinyl download code not working

last night i logged into the site and downloaded what I thought was a zip file containing the full album. instead, it was just the single track 'I and love and you'.
now the entire album is posted for download, but it won't let me download because I already downloaded ONE track and therefore its locking me out. VERY ANNOYING!
I've written several emails to the email contact (support@myplaydigital.com) but have not heard back.
Who can help resolve this issue? Avett Brother rep? Vinyl manufacturer? record label?
