To be or not to be?

I believe that The Avett brothers and other groups like the fleet foxes are examples of musical groups expressing the soul of the musical art more so than most music that has come out after the "end" of the musical renaissance of the 1960s. We are entering a new age of truth in the world, and the renaissance embedded in our consciousness is blossoming!

the woman is Mrs. Blackburn - this is how i know her. She was an art teacher at my high school in Greenville NC a few years back. She gave Scott a picture of her and this is how he altered it. Im not quite sure as to how she knows him but that is her. my two best friends are very good friends with her and they told me that it was her on the cover and i plan to talk to her about it more sometime soon. Fantastic job.

for some reason this picture seems very shakespearish to me

Obviously I am back from the era of album art. Back in the day album art sold albums and now are considered classic art. A lot of time the album art had nothing to do with the music. I know I am old and in the way but why not wait to hear the music before making judgments, eh? I'm just looking forward to 8/8 to see the brothers live in Charlotte. I thinks it's cool no matter what it's supposed to mean. Peace

HOLY SALVADOR DALI!!! When I first locked eyes with it I gasped. What are the Avett Bros up to? Scott, you're inscrutable and breathtaking. I love this painting. I wish I'd bought his prints when they were $300 - who knows what they are now..... or what they will be.

I can't think of anything else to say other than I'm intrigued to know more about the significance of this painting. It's definitely Scott's work (the news page says so), and, obviously, he's a fantastic artist. Seeing this just sparks my curiosity about it's importance..."Julianne in Vain."

Scott is a great artist in my opinion, but this picture is kind of scary to me. Cannot wait until the new album though! Counting the days.
