I believe it was the fall of 2005 when my friend suggested I go see a band called The Avett Brothers. "Who's That?", I thought, but I'm ALWAYS up for great new music. Little did I know that night was the beginning of a new era for me. I had found the band of my dreams! They are BlueGrass - They are Punk - They are Sweet - They are COMPLETELY FREAKIN' AWESOME!!! They make me smile - they make me dance How is it that I have not heard of them? HOW-OH-HOW have I survived this long without them? My soul was filled, my heart warmed, and my feet were moving! Since that night, there is never a day that the music of The Avett Brothers does not grace my ears. They are so real, and theirs songs and harmonies raw with emotion. Those boys Love what they do, and thy pull you in to enjoy the ride right next to them! I am forever thankful to them and to my friend who suggested I see them that night.

Music is a huge part of my life, and a band like the Avett Brothers is the exact reason. Music can take you anywhere - it can sooth your soul and fill your heart with joy. A good song takes a bad feeling and turns it around in an instant, and no one does that better than TAB. Music brings a smile to the soul, and the Avett Brothers lead the way for me. They are - since the very first time I heard them ... my love-love-love-must-have-every-day-go-to-band.

I am excited about them entering the next phase of their career, but it will change things. Change is good, and change is necessary, but it's exactly that - change. Here's to the glory of The Avett Brothers and all they have done for us. Here is to what they will do for everyone else. Here's to them staying True to themselves and their fans. I know that they will rise to the occasion and make us all proud of the way they handle success. It's been a great ride!
