The Avett Brothers are the perfect band. Their energy, raw musical talent, passion, and character make them so true and inspiring to me. They are incredible live or in studio. I play piano, guitar, banjo, harmonica, drums, and sing occasionally, and learning their music and putting variation on it has seemingly become part of my daily routine. I am currently battling my way through difficult science classes at UNC-Chapel Hill on the path of pursuing medical school, and the idea of throwing that all away to pursue the music I love is always a relaxing, recurring fantasy that is ever-growing in my head. Someone's gotta fill in the role of the Avett Brothers when they get too old to perform, right? Hoping to talk to them in person by the end of April.
