I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...it's a great thing to love a band. Not just like them but love them. I have told many people around me when they constantly ask how I can listen to the Avett Brothers nearly continuously for days upon weeks, that I could probably listen to the Avett's and only the Avett's for the rest of my life.
