Country Was really captures the "Avett sound".

There has never been a more appropriate song for my life than "November Blue!" Nothing better than feeling like a song was written specifically for me, albeit years in advance. Beyond the meaning of the lyrics, this song exudes that special something to make it irresistible to listen to while simultaneously being the saddest thing my ears will ever know. Bittersweet in every way, but oh so relevant.

This album is very special to me. November Blue was the song that got me hooked on TAB. I love how their voices and style sound on this CD. It's great to hear how far they've progressed while still maintaining the intimacy of their lyrics.

I wasn't sure about this album at first, having been baptized into the nation by I and Love and You. Honestly, I prefer the earlier albums now. Trust me, this album is well worth the money. I love the opening of this album! It can't be beat. I love the rawness of the sound on this album. It's energetic, new, and just downright fun!. The old piano hall feel that ambles throughout the set of songs is great. Old Wyom, A Lot of Moving, and November Blue stand out for me.

Love the raw early work. "November Blue" is still one of my favourites. This band's potential has been evident from day one. I'm always amazed at how every album has captured the energy of their live shows, and this early work is no exception.

But their good times come with prices
And I can't believe it when I hear the jokes they make
At anyone's expese except their own
Would they laugh if they knew who paid?

You must get this one, there are plenty of "must haves" on here, like Pretty Girl from Matthews, November Blue and A Lot of Moving. Get it.

Love this album. It's a honky-tonk, foot-stomping good time. Every track on here is golden. November Blue is my favorite Avett Bros song, but all of these tunes are great.

It's not the chase that I love - it's me following you.

Probably the most impactful song to me by The Avett Brothers. I have heard many versions and all so good. From this album all the way up to Emotionalism, everysong is amazing.

Thanks to Ramsuer for putting this on Itunes. It is a glimpse of when the Avetts were trying to be a bluegrass band rather then themselves. You can see the light poking out a bit, but all in all a good listen.

I am so glad this became available on iTunes, was searching and searching for it. It is great to have this and see the progression the band has taken. Love all the songs on the album.

The title accompanies the tracks as the Avetts stare a genre in the face as they begin to change it, where tracks like Beside the Yellow Line merge with Old Wyom in later albums- Jenny and the Summer Day will become a staple on every album, the single/fun song, grouped with the honest lament of people connecting with people that includes not good and bad times but a timeless way of life.

I haven't stopped listening to this song and learned it on guitar... Has to be one of my favorites!

I love this album, and I'm so happy it's available on itunes and at Amazon now. It's probably my favorite version of November Blue, and I love Jenny and the Summer Day!

I love singing this song and dancing around the kitchen with my daughter. The rest of the album is great. It makes perfect driving music too.

Jenny and the Summer day makes me want to drive around my hometown with the windows open holding a pretty girl's hand.

I think this album is really classic pure Avett sound. It has a lot of different tunes than we are used to with the other albums but I think we will hear some likeness in the new album coming up.

Granted not my personal favorite from top to bottom but songs like November Blue and Jenny and the summer day make it worth listening too!

Yet again the amount of songs that they have written in the past decade is staggering.

It got even better with the iTunes release.
